The Sanders County Arts Council was incorporated in January 2004 to provide perpetuity to artistic events such as The Montana Repertory Theatre, Vigilante Players, Chinook Winds Quintet, David Morgenroth's Piano Jazz, Art on the Walls of Clark Fork Valley Hospital, student workshops and the University of Montana dance performances. During the previous 20 years, these efforts had been supported by local individuals. In 2004 the Art Council initiated a Montana Baroque Music Festival in collaboration with Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort which runs for three days in August and brings in world class baroque musicians from England, Canada, and the U.S.
