The Sanders County Arts Council was incorporated in
January 2004 to provide perpetuity to artistic events such as The Montana
Repertory Theatre, Vigilante Players, Cascade Quartet, Spring Orchestra of
the Rockies, and the University of Missoula dance performances. During the previous 20 years, these efforts
had been supported by local individuals.
In 2004 the Art Council initiated a Montana Baroque Music Festival in
collaboration with Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort which runs for three days in
August and brings in world class baroque musicians from England, Canada, and
the U.S. |

In the future, the Council hopes
to expand the schedule of events throughout the year and provide avenues of
feed back for the community and the artists. |
